How Important Is It?
We kknow that the word of God is important. But, how important is it actually?
How Important is The Word?
The word of God is God. I believe that settles everything.
Do we have to know and remember the word? Yes definitely. If we remember the word, that means we can speak it out at anytime. Even when we are in a situation, the word will just pop up in our mind. It's the HS who will remind us of God's word.
The bible says in John 8:32 you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Look, it's not the truth that will set you free, but the truth that you know. The word is always the truth, but if you don't know, then it can't set you free even though it's the highest form of truth. That means the information or the knowledge of the word is extremely important.
I met someone that said "I've spoken it out, but it doesn't seem to work" "I don't see the result". Wait, we have to remember that we interact with the world everyday, and it is full of unbelief. We constantly hear negative reports, bad news, negative people, desperate and hopeless people every single day. All of those things play an important role in forming our belief system.
No wonder it's easier for us to believe in the world than to believe in the word. If we only hear the word once a week for 40 mins on Sunday, how can it compete with the world? Maybe it’s too much unbelief here in our heart.
Sometimes it's not enough just to declare the word once, and hope that it will bring instant result. We must train our mind to agree with the word of God. Say it. Decree and declare it over and over again until our mind agrees with the word. Until it's rooted and overcome our unbelief.
It's like a battle between faith and doubt.
Remember if we want to activate our faith we need this mouth. Faith comes through these ears, but it's released through this mouth. How powerful is it?
